| Who We Are Holliston Garden Club members are men and women with varied interests and talents in many fields. Some have extensive training and experience in horticulture, and some do not. The Club was formed to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening and floral design, to aid in the protection and conservation of natural resources, and to promote the beautification of our town. If you are interested in getting involved, you qualify! Whether your focus is on perennials, annuals, landscape or floral design, civic improvements or conservation (or something entirely different), we welcome new members. To find out more information on joining the Holliston Garden Club, please click on the “Join Our Club” button at the top of the page. About Us The Holliston Garden Club is celebrating their 75th anniversary in 2008-2009, and is one of the 190 clubs within the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts. In addition to club activities and programs, the Club reaches out to the Holliston community in many ways (see “What We Do”). As you learn more about the Club, you will see us everywhere! Holliston Garden Club members have won numerous awards for floral design at Elm Bank, Tower Hill, the Museum of Fine Arts, the New England Spring Flower Show and other regional competitions. In 2006, the Club received national recognition for an intergenerational program that designed, built, installed and planted a wheelchair accessible gardening area at Holliston Manor. This year, we installed a deer and drought-resistant xeriscape landscape design at the Holliston Recycling Center on Marshall Street. |
